Sunstone Institute is seeking talented Data Engineers to join our mission-driven team in Oslo. You will play a critical role in building robust data pipelines that collect, manage, and transform raw data into valuable insights. Your work will directly empower data scientists and business analysts to uncover patterns, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure to support data collection, storage, and processing.
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to convert raw data into structured formats suitable for analysis.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data requirements and provide efficient data access.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and cleaning procedures.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine learning and AI pipelines.
- Knowledge of geospatial data and satellite imagery.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy best practices.
